You grew up in the Cottonera, do you have any memories regarding your childhood?
Amber:
I spent most of my summers at Rinella with my family.
I also have beautiful memories in Birgu especially during the feast of St Lawrence since my family is from there. It was always a must that we leave the 10th of August free to head to Birgu.
I was also part of the Prince of Wales own band (St Domnic in Birgu). I also have fond memories of my time here. I still remember attending rehearsals and lesson every Wednesday at the band club, the feast marches, the concerts and all the other celebrations related to the feast fo St Domnic.
The regatta was also something I remember very well. I remember heading down to Cospicua or the port to watch the regatta. It was always a family outing were we used to spend the whole date there. I still flow the regatta till this very day.
My Memories in Cottonera are very special to me. Its part of who I am and I cherish them throughout my life :)
